Functie omschrijving

As Commercial Controller, your primary focus will be to act as a business partner to the (global) sales organization, enhancing customer profitability and contributing various process and operational improvement projects. You will manage and analyse the global order portfolio and revenue, ensuring insightful reporting and decision-making support for the Sales teams and Management. This role requires a proactive approach to weekly stakeholder reviews, encompassing Planning, Sales, Project Management, and the CFO, to drive strategic initiatives and improve financial outcomes.

  • Part of global HQ control team (4 FTE):
  • Local country controllers
  • CFO
  • Sales and project management organization
Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Daily management and reporting of global order intake, order book, and revenue, including weekly reviews with key stakeholders such as Planning, Sales, Project Management, and the CFO;
  • Ownership of financial and management reporting during month-end close, including analysis of discounts, commissions, and revenue segmentation by country/customer;
  • Responsibility for SG&A operational expense reporting and variance analysis;
  • Leading the budget process and generating global sales and SG&A cost reports, including review sessions with budget owners;
  • Systems: Hyperion/Smart View, PowerBI, ERP systems (Infor LN), and extensive use of Excel.
  • Responding to ad-hoc reporting requests from various internal and external parties;
  • Participation in and contribution to reporting improvement projects, such as:
    • Setting up the rolling forecasts sales function;
    • Order book control improvement;
    • Feasibility studies of new business models.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

  • Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 (including holiday pay);

  • €0.23/km travel expense reimbursement (max 80 km one way distance);
